This championship was organized by Special Olympics Indonesia (SOIna) in collaboration with Perkumpulan Lions Indonesia Multi Distrik 307. With the theme “Mengarungi Gelombang, Menaklukkan Batas Menuju Prestasi” and held at Bulungan Swimming Pool, South Jakarta. ISDI students had previously trained to give their best in the swimming competition. The enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the students was very great and all participants won medals from Perkumpulan Lions Indonesia Multi Distrik 307.

We, ISDI, are very proud and grateful to all the students who attended and participated in the competition, the parents, Perkumpulan Lions Indonesia Multi Distrik 307, SOIna and the companions who enlivened this event. Hopefully we can meet again on another occasion with more competitions held.

March 01

ISDI was invited to the Cap Go Meh event for Grandpa and Special Children at the Eka Ria Restaurant, Central Jakarta. ISDI performed a traditional dance with a medley of songs sung Gong Xi Fa Cai. The children were very happy and enjoyed this event, besides our performance there was also a lion dance performance and performances from Elsafan's friends. Wow... this event was witnessed by Grandma and Grandpa... everyone who attended watched and danced with ISDI friends. The children were happy and all had a good time...

Thank you Yayasan Oma Opa Indonesia, hopefully we can meet Grandma and Grandpa again...

March 05

On March 5, 2026, ISDI held an art therapy activity with Mrs. Mira Hoeng at the ISDI Center of Hope. Mrs. Mira Hoeng is a textile designer, pattern artist, and creative entrepreneur from Indonesia who founded the fashion and lifestyle brand MIWA Pattern.

This activity was attended by ISDI children and their accompanying parents. The goal was to explore children's potential and the importance of parent-child relationships in developing their painting skills.

From the responses from parents who participated in this activity, all parents learned that their children's drawings demonstrated extraordinary imagination. We, ISDI and the parents, hope that this activity will continue and that more knowledge will be learned from our unfamiliar experiences.

Thank you, Mrs. Mira Hoeng and her staff for assisting with this art therapy activity. Best regards from ISDI...

About Us

ISDI (Ikatan Sindroma Down Indonesia or Indonesian Down syndrome Society) was formally established on 21 st April 1999. A non-profit support group of parents, medical professions, special-needs experts, teachers, and all of those who have deep concern.

We, as parents are very concerned of the future of children with Down syndrome in Indonesia especially when little is done to support them by the government or other non-profit organizations.

We so look forward towards a better future by sharing our experiences and supporting each other in our monthly gatherings. This way we gain knowledge and our children benefit from our experiences.
