| 7 December | ISDI was invited for the 2 nd time to exhibit their art works done by the children by the Japan Foundation at their annual friendly drawing competition for the children of Japan and Indonesia. Also ISDI was privileged to be invited to the Palace and shake hands with the 6th President of Indonesia Mr.Susilo Bambang Yudoyono at the celebration of the International Day for the Handicap. |
| 3-4 December | ISDI joins in the celebration of the International Day for the Handicap with setting up a booth in the charity bazaar at the compound of The Stefanus church in Cilandak Barat, Jakarta Selatan. |
| 19 - 23 November | ISDI was privileged to give presentation with a theme “We Are the Chosen Ones” in the ACMR 17 th (Asian Conference on Mental Retardation) in Yogyakarta, West Java. |
| 5 November | Buddy walk on the occasion of Down syndrome month. |
| 23 October | ISDI participated at the annual biathlon competition of the British International School in their compound at Bintaro, Tangerang. |
| 29 Sept - 1 Oct | Exhibition of ISDI's products at the Mega Craft show, at Mega Kuningan, Jakarta. |
| 6 September | Regional Sports Day competition for the handicap at the Ragunan Sport area in athletics and swimming. |
| 27 August | ISDI was invited to teach golf at the GE Golf Day Charity event. |
| 23 August | Provincial Sports Day Competition for the Handicap 2005 in athletics and swimming. |
| 26 June | Buddy walk organized by Mead Johnson. |
| 22 May | Swimming competition of Club SOIna-ISDI and Tirta Gym at Hotel Danau Sunter. |
| 23 April | Seminar on Osteoporosis in Down syndrome with Samuel Oetoro MD. |
| 2 April | ISDI was invited to join the Al-Azhar kindergarten Kemang Pratama Bekasi at their drawing and coloring competition seJABOTABEK. |
| 26 February | Swimming evaluation of the club SOIna-ISDI at Podomoro Sports Centre. |
| 16 January | ISDI participated in the charity event Swim for Aceh by the British International School. |
| 11 January | Charity event in collaboration with GE Volunteers distributing wheelchairs to the poor and sick and handicap. |
| 5 January | Christmas and New Year celebration by and for the handicap. |
About Us
ISDI (Ikatan Sindroma Down Indonesia or Indonesian Down syndrome Society) was formally established on 21 st April 1999. A non-profit support group of parents, medical professions, special-needs experts, teachers, and all of those who have deep concern.
We, as parents are very concerned of the future of children with Down syndrome in Indonesia especially when little is done to support them by the government or other non-profit organizations.
We so look forward towards a better future by sharing our experiences and supporting each other in our monthly gatherings. This way we gain knowledge and our children benefit from our experiences.
